Samsung ATIV Tab is Coming with Microsoft Office 2013 on Windows RT Operating System

Samsung announced a new line of Win 8-based devices under the ATIV brand instead of Samsung Galaxy Note II as we expected. The products line includes smart PC, tablet, smartphone and display.

ATIV tablet comes with a 10.1 inch display with the resolution of 1366x768, while there is a 5 megapixel primary camera with 720p HD video recording plus a 1.9 megapixel sub camera on the front.

A standard storages are provided by Samsung , 2GB of RAM, 32 or 64GB of flash plus a microSD slot.

In the side of connections, the ATIV Tab supports NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth plus GPS and GLONASS positioning systems, HSPA+42 connectivity, but it does not support 3G cellular data.
 
The new tablet runs Windows RT operating system. Windows RT is a version of Windows 8 that runs on ARM processors which sits between the mobile and desktop versions of Windows 8. It is different from the other platforms. As a result, MS Office 2013 Home and Student editions are preinstall on it. It's really a good new for those who like working on tablets. It's no longer a difficult thing to create, edit and view office documents, such as powerpoint presentation with animations.

Another difference is, this tablet comes with USB 2.0 port and micro-HDMI ports and supported devices that plug into these ports should work automatically without the need for extra software.

All of the above are supported by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. The size and weight are coming at 266 x 168 x 8.9mm and 570 grams. An 8,200 mAh battery is also in it.

Samsung doesn't forget to bundle some of its proprietary apps on the slate, such as the Samsung Music Hub and ChatOn messaging app. 

The ATIV Tab is said to be available from October 26 at the price of $599.
